dear future me,
please don’t criticize me too hard
i’m trying too
i know you want the best for you
but everything i’m doing 
allows for everything you want to do

i’ll take care of me
i know you’re doing the same now
maybe your practices are better
i’m just doing what i know how
i consider myself clairvoyant 
but hindsight is much clearer
keep being a student of life
let my mistakes be your teacher

since you’re applying your expectations on me
allow me to follow suit
